ASHFALL
Privacy Policy · Last updated: October 13, 2026
ASHFALL is a co-op WebXR extraction shooter. This page explains what the game does and does not do with your data.
What stays on your device
Your callsign, cash, owned weapons, starting weapon and career stats are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not receive or store them on any server. Clearing site data or uninstalling the app erases them.
Multiplayer
When you host or join a raid, the game connects players directly to each other with WebRTC (peer-to-peer). To establish that connection, the free public PeerJS signaling service briefly sees a random session ID and the network addresses (IP addresses) needed to connect. During a raid, other players in your session receive your callsign, position, movement and in-game actions. We operate no game server and keep no logs of sessions.
Voice chat
Proximity voice chat is optional. If you enable it, the browser asks for microphone permission. Your voice is sent peer-to-peer only to players in your session, is not recorded, and is never sent to us. You can mute at any time (V on desktop, left Y button in VR) or untick the option before starting.
What we do not collect
No account is required. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, we use no analytics or ad networks, and we do not sell or share personal data. Third-party code libraries (Three.js, PeerJS) load from public CDNs (jsDelivr, unpkg), which may see your IP address when delivering those files, as any website host would.
Children
ASHFALL contains cartoon-style combat against fictional creatures and is not directed at children under 13. Follow the age guidance on the store listing.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date above changes. Questions: see the support contact on the game's store page.
